On 12-13 November 2026 the FAU Research Center New Bioactive Compounds (FAU NeW) welcomes the PhD students of the Emil Fischer Graduate School to the workshop „Inside Pharma: How the Pharmaceutical Industry Works“. PhD and postdoctoral students from pharmaceutical chemistry and technology, food science, clinical pharmacy, chemistry, nuclear medicine and different medical disciplines get insights into the processes in the pharmaceutical/life science industry, from research and development to market supply and relevant side aspects. As part of group work, participants will address relevant topics in break-out sessions based on practical examples.
FAU New promotes outstanding research at FAU and Universitätsklinikum Erlangen on new bioactive compounds, their targets and mechanisms of action and strengthens collaboration in the field of bioanalytics. In this environment, the FAU NeW members develop and optimize drug candidates, bioactive food components and formulations.
