Bioinorganic Chemistry Group

We are a young and ambitious research group focusing on understanding the exciting chemistry performed by biocatalysts! We offer a dynamic, international, and collaborative work environment where students feel challenged and engaged. We are working at the interface of chemistry and biology. Our team consists of members with a background in inorganic and organic chemistry, biochemistry, and structural biology, to ensure that students are trained in a broad range of topics and techniques and enable them to tackle current challenges of our society.

Our research interests focus on various aspects of sustainable energy production, bioremediation, as well as developing novel strategies for fighting bacterial and viral infections. We combine methods from molecular biology, protein chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, spectroscopy, and macromolecular crystallography, to contribute to a more sustainable future. Join us to discover and further your knowledge of bioinorganic chemistry!
