In 2016, the Particle-Based Materials (PBM) conference series was established. Now, in 2026, our grassroots conference is celebrating its 10th anniversary (a big thank you to Prof. Doris Segets and her team for hosting it this year at UDE)!
And still, it is all about particles and an open, collegial atmosphere, with a particular focus on encouraging young scientists to present their work. We have also kept the conference fees very low to make it accessible to everyone interested in particles.
If you have not joined us yet, why not do so in 2027?
P.S. What also makes me very happy, is seeing how many of the first PBM participants from 2016 are still very dedicated to particles and have since become successful scientists with impressive careers!
