Professor Dirk Guldi presented the invited lecture “Exciton Migration in Porphyrinic Systems” at the 14th International Conference on Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (ICPP-14), held from June 28 to July 3, 2026, at the Kyoto Terrsa Conference Center in Kyoto, Japan. Organized by the Society of Porphyrins & Phthalocyanines, ICPP is one of the leading international meetings dedicated to the chemistry, physics, materials science, and applications of porphyrins and related macrocycles. In his presentation, Professor Guldi discussed recent advances in understanding exciton migration within porphyrinic architectures, highlighting how molecular design governs energy transport in complex photoactive systems. The work contributes to the fundamental understanding of light-harvesting processes and the development of functional molecular materials for artificial photosynthesis and organic optoelectronic applications. The conference provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange and fostered discussions with researchers from across the international porphyrin community.
