Professor Dirk M. Guldi, delivered an invited presentation at the 2026 I-APS Meeting, organized by the Inter-American Photochemical Society and held in Águas de Lindóia, São Paulo, Brazil, from May 16–19, 2026.
In his talk, entitled “Adaptive Light Management for Energy Conversion,” Guldi presented recent advances in the development of adaptive molecular and nanoscale systems designed to improve the capture, transfer, and conversion of light energy. The presentation highlighted innovative approaches to controlling photophysical and photochemical processes with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of next-generation energy-conversion technologies. Particular emphasis was placed on interdisciplinary strategies that combine chemistry, materials science, and photophysics to address current challenges in sustainable energy research.
The I-APS Meeting is an internationally recognized forum for photochemistry and photophysics, bringing together leading researchers from academia and industry to discuss emerging developments in light-driven science and technology.
