Prof. Dirk Guldi Joins Advisory Board of Matter & Light

Prof. Dirk Guldi of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen–Nürnberg (FAU) and Spokesperson of FAU Solar has been appointed to the Advisory Board of Matter & Light, a newly established scientific journal published by Cell Press. The appointment reflects the international standing of FAU’s research in the field of photophysics and molecular materials science.

Matter & Light focuses on high-impact research at the intersection of light–matter interactions, photochemistry, and photonics. Prof. Guldi joins three other newly appointed board members from City University of Hong Kong, Politecnico di Torino, and Jiangnan University — a group whose collective expertise spans a broad range of scientific communities across Europe and Asia.

The journal has made a strong start: seven articles have been published within its first two months online, and the inaugural print issue is now available. The Advisory Board is expected to play a central role in shaping the journal’s editorial direction and ensuring the quality and relevance of published research.
