Food Chemistry goes Bangkok
A new Erasmus+ partnership between the Chair of Food Chemistry at FAU’s Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy and the Department of Food Science and Technology at Kasetsart University in Bangkok has been established.
“We plan research co-operations on novel applications of plant proteins and strive for sustainable exchange of our students and teaching staff”, explains Prof. Dr. Monika Pischetsrieder, Chair of Food Chemistry at FAU. “Many thanks to our great hosts Prof. Kanokrat Limpisophon and Dr. Pattarasuda Rawiwan, the Head of Department Prof. Kullanart Tongkhao and Vice Head of Department Prof. Namfone Lumdubwong. Many thanks also to Bianca Köndgen and the Central Office for International Affairs at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg for the initiative and great support.”
Kasetsart University is Thailand’s largest universities with about 70,000 students. Established in the early 1900s as School of Agriculture, it was promoted in 1943 to Thailand’s first university for agricultural sciences. Today, Kasetsart University offers study programs in the entire spectrum of academic disciplines. Food chemistry students who want to take part in the EARSMUS+ program with Bangkok must provide proof that they have sufficient English language skills.
