Welcome Bart

We are happy to welcome our new guest Bart van den Bersselaar. Bart obtained his M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry Cum Laude in 2020 from Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands, during which he worked on the synthesis and self-assembly properties of water-compatible supramolecular polymers. In November 2020, he started his doctoral work in the group of Prof. Dr. Bert Meijer at Eindhoven University of Technology, where his main focus is to study the nanostructures of molecules based on discrete oligodimethylsiloxanes and their potential photo- and optoelectronic applications. He joined the Guldi Group as a visitor for a week in September 2024 to investigate the excited state characteristics of nanostructured donor-acceptor complexes. Together with our PhD student Giovanni he will use Transient Absorption Spectroscopy to investigate the underlying processes in his phosphorescent and charge-transfer systems.
