Stephan Müssig graduated from the University of Wuerzburg with a Master’s in Functional Materials in 2017. He performed his Master’s Thesis in the Mandel group on ultrasound-assisted synthesis of nano- and microparticles. Afterwards Stephan worked as a scientist on silicon-based anodes at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) in Kjeller close to Oslo, Norway. He started his doctoral position 06/2018 in Wuerzburg and focuses on magnetic marker particles for arbitrary objects. Their unique signal is resolved by Magnetic Particle Spectroscopy (MPS), a novel magnetometry technique. Stephan receives a doctoral scholarship from The German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, DBU) since 06/2019.
