Jakob Reichstein graduated from the University of Würzburg with a Master of Science degree in the interdisciplinary course Functional Materials in 2019. During his studies he was focusing on the synthesis and processing of nanomaterials to tune them for specific applications ranging from energy technology to smart interactive materials. He conducted several internships at different institutions including the AUDI AG, the Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research ZAE and the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC. After finishing his Master’s thesis in the group of Prof. Mandel he went abroad for a research stay at the Institute for Energy Technology IFE in Oslo, Norway.
Consecutively he joined the Supraparticles Group as a PhD candidate. His research focusses on the smart luminescent supraparticles for interactive surfaces assembled from nanoparticle building blocks with designed properties.
