Measuring the exact thermal history from the inside of materials undergoing high temperature events is almost impossible. In our latest article, just accepted in Advanced Functional Materials, we present integrable magnetic supraparticles as particulate additives that are capable of recording elapsed temperature events with customizable working range up to 1000 °C and contactless spectral magnetic readout within (milli)seconds via magnetic particle spectroscopy.
