Prof. Dr. Dirk Guldi and Prof. Dr. Jörg Libuda elected to the DFG review boards
Prof. Dr. Dirk Guldi and Prof. Dr. Jörg Libuda have been elected to the review boards of the German Research Foundation (DFG) for the membership period from 2024 to 2028.
The review boards are responsible for evaluating proposals submitted to the DFG. They compare all proposals submitted in order to identify the projects most worthy of funding within the given financial framework. In this way, the review boards ensure that proposals are assessed according to uniform standards across all DFG programs. In addition, they are also involved in the further development of the DFG funding programs and in the discussion of funding policy issues.
Every four years, almost 150,000 eligible researchers elect the members of the boards. The elected members are assigned to a subject according to the focus of their academic work. Prof. Dr. Dirk Guldi will serve on Review Board 3.13, Physical Chemistry, and Prof. Dr. Jörg Libuda on Review Board 3.12, Chemical Solid State and Surface Research.
