Tao Wei obtained his PhD in 2015 from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). From 2016-2021 he worked as an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral fellow under Prof. Andreas Hirsch at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. Since 2021 he has been conducting independent research as a Habilitation. His research interest lies in synthesis, chemistry, and property of carbon allotropes (e.g. fullerene, carbon nanotube, and graphene) and hybrids.
