Ignacio Nicolás Arceo

Room: Room P1.44

Ignacio obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in chemistry in 2023 from University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, during which he conducted studies on phosphorescent mono- and di-nuclear Ir complexes, in the group of Prof. F. Di Salvo. In 2024, he started his PhD work at the University of Buenos Aires, where his main focus is on coordination polymers based on Ru/Ir as photocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction. He joined the Guldi Group in February 2026 to work on the characterization of the ultrafast photophysics and catalytic activity of the coordination polymers.

He will contribute to our efforts to create robust and photocatalytically active materials that are able to transform solar light into fuels.
