MSc/BSc thesis and HiWi topics

We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in these areas: Atomic layer deposition, vacuum deposition, electrochemical deposition, scanning probe techniques, other material investigation techniques.

Current topics
• Electrochemical deposition of metals (e.g. Ag, Ni) on advanced substrates such as on membranes and tips.
• Layer-by-layer electrochemical deposition of metal chalcogenides (e.g. S- and Se-based compounds).
• Correlative scanning probe microscopic investigation of 2D layered materials and their electrical, optical, and electrochemical properties.
• 3D printing for photoelectrochemical or photocatalysis applications.
