A highlight of the visit was a meeting with Dr. Andres Ruland, IPRI research fellow and former member of the Guldi group.

Prof. Dirk M. Guldi recently participated in the Workshop on Contemporary and Future Challenges in Photochemical Sciences held at the Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI) on the Innovation Campus of the University of Wollongong. The workshop brought together leading researchers to discuss current developments and emerging opportunities in photochemistry, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary approaches spanning materials science, molecular photophysics, and energy-related applications.

During his visit, Prof. Guldi engaged in scientific discussions with researchers at IPRI and exchanged perspectives on future directions in photochemical research. A highlight of the visit was a meeting with Dr. Andres Ruland, IPRI research fellow and former member of the Guldi group. Their discussions focused on recent advances in functional photoactive materials and explored potential avenues for renewed collaboration between the groups.

The visit further strengthened the scientific exchange between the Guldi group and the University of Wollongong and highlighted shared interests in advancing photochemical sciences through international collaboration and innovative research.
