Congratulations Giovanni!

Giovanni M. Beneventi, PhD student in the group of Prof. Dr. Guldi, has been awarded the Early Career Researcher Lectureship Prize by the Photophysics and Photochemistry Interest Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry. This award recognizes outstanding early career researchers for excellence in scientific communication and significant contributions to the fields of photophysics and photochemistry.
On this occasion, Giovanni was invited to present his research on molecular nanographenes at the recent RSC meeting held at Imperial College London, the second-best university in the world. His presentation focused on the influence of molecular length on the photophysical properties of different nanographene systems.
This award highlights the impactful work on molecular nanographenes carried out within the Guldi group, in collaboration with several synthetic and theoretical groups at FAU and internationally — particularly with Prof. Dr. Norbert Jux, Prof. Fabrizia Negri, and Prof. Xiliang Feng.
