Dr. Negar Gheshlaghi (IZNF 02.164) studied towards her bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the State University of Oruomieh, Iran, and master in nano science and nano engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Turkey. She obtained her doctoral degree in a joint program between ITU and Bilkent University, dedicating her research to the synthesis and characterization of colloidal group II-VI nanocrystal quantum dots and fabrication of LEDs and quantum cascade lasers from III-V compound semiconductors. During her postdoc at Bilkent University, she worked on applications of colloidal quantum well nanocrystals in LEDs, micro-lasers, and microfluidics. In our group, Negar now works on the generation of functional devices by atomic-layer additive manufacturing.
