Dr. Maissa Barr
Dr. Maïssa Barr (IZNF 02.164) obtained her Bachelor in Physics and Chemistry, Master in Materials for Energy, and Ph. D. in Materials Chemistry from Aix-Marseille University in France. She performed her doctoral research with Dr. Lionel Santinacci at CINAM.
Research in the Barr group focuses on the development of innovative deposition processes based on the principles of atomic layer deposition (ALD), in particular ALD from dissolved precursors (‘solution ALD’ or sALD) and atomic-layer additive manufacturing (ALAM). Maïssa is starting her independent career with support from FAU’s excellence cluster ‘Engineering of Advanced Materials’ and ‘Emerging Talents Initiative’ on the surface chemistry of solution ALD.
