Dr. Ignacio Mínguez Bacho (IZNF 02.138) obtained his Ph. D. in physics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2012 working at the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM, Spain) on nanostructured systems with Manuel Hernández-Vélez and Manuel Vázquez. He then performed postdoctoral research on hybrid solar cells at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) with Denis Fichou. He now applies his expertise in nanostructuring and organic semiconductors to photovoltaics in our group. He has secured independent funding from the FAU’s Emerging Talents Initiative and the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.


Ignacio leads the PV effort at the CTFM chair and works in particularly close exchange with Pascal Büttner, Dirk Döhler, Florian Scheler, and Sofia Korenko.
